General Information

ABSENCE REPORTING:

If your child is absent from school for any reason, you must contact the school on the morning of the first day of absence - Tel: 0208 887 6060 and either leave a message on the answer phone or ask to speak to the Attendance Officer.  Please download further attendance information here.

PUNCTUALITY:

Classroom doors are open from 8.40 am.  School starts at 8.45 am and children should be brought to their classes by their parent/carer and handed over to a member of staff.  Arrival after 8.45 am (when the bell is rung) means children have to be signed in as late at the main office.  The bell is rung according to the time on the digital clock in the main office.  Arrival after 9.00am will be marked as unauthorised absence/late.  Therefore, please make sure your child is in his/her class ready to learn by 8.45am.  Please be aware that as the parent/guardian you are responsible for ensuring your child’s regular and prompt attendance in school.  It is a legal requirement that your child is punctual to school.

YEAR 4 SWIMMING LESSONS:

Year 4 swimming lessons begin after February half term each year.  Your child will need to bring a towel, swimming hat (for all girls and boys with long hair) and the following swimwear:

Girls - a one piece swimming costume (no bikinis or wetsuits please)

Boys - a pair of swimming trunks

Further information will be provided to parents nearer to the time of the swimming lessons.

HEAD LICE:

In line with the London Borough of Enfield’s guidelines, children’s heads are not checked in school so please keep a special watch for head lice.  Should your child become infected, the “Wet Combing” technique is very effective – details available from the school office.  Holiday time provides a good time for parents to check their children’s hair and treat them if head lice are found.  Thank you for your co-operation.  For further information click here
