Admissions

Starks Field Primary School is a 2 form entry primary school. Our published admission number (PAN) is 60 per year group.. All admissions are processed by Enfield Council which has determined selection criteria.  The Admissions Service is responsible for coordinating the allocation of reception places in Enfield to make sure that as many children as possible get places at schools of their parents preference. Information about admissions and schools in Enfield is available on our website www.enfield.gov.uk/admissions.  You will also access the online portal at this link where you can make your application for a reception place.  You can also contact the Admissions Service on 020 8379 5501. In addition, our Parent Support Adviser, is always willing to meet with parents to support them to complete the application process. Please contact the School Office if you would like to arrange a meeting.

Starks Field has a wonderful Nursery, offering 60 part time places.  If your child was born between 1st September 2013 and 31st August 2014, you can apply for a nursery class for September 2017.  This will be the September before their fourth birthday.  Please remember if your child attends our Nursery, you must apply for a Reception place in the same way as other applicants. There is no automatic right to transfer from Nursery to Reception.

Our next Admissions Tour for prospective parents to visit our school will take place on 9th November 2017 at 9.30am or 30th November 2017 at 2pm.  We can also organise individual visits.  Please contact the School Office on 020 8887 6060 to arrange.

If your child is offered a place at our school, you will receive information in the Summer about your child's induction into our Nursery or Reception classes.  You will be invited to an information session where we will share vital information to ensure you are part of our school community.  We also sell school uniform and there is a weekly uniform shop where you can purchase a range of items before your child starts school.

The on line application process for September 2018 begins on 1st September 2017 until 15th January 2018.  Offers will be made for Reception places in April 2018 and Nursery Places in May 2018.

Mid Year Admissions:

Pupils starting our school in the middle of a year will have an introductory meeting with the Head of School and Parent Support Adviser. Parents are required to visit our school with their child as part of the admissions process. All new admissions are supported to ensure they are felt welcomed and make friends easily. Our Learning Mentor will monitor their transition and ensure they are well supported through our buddy system.
