We are a happy and welcoming two-form entry primary school in the London Borough of Enfield. Our wonderful children and dedicated staff work together in a fully-resourced school set in beautiful and extensive grounds. Our broad and creative curriculum aims to develop all pupils, whatever their individual needs and starting points, with the skills to be lifelong learners.

Starks Field is looking to appoint highly motivated, enthusiastic and skilled teachers, including NQTs, to teach in our school. We are seeking candidates with a passion for teaching who are committed to achieving the highest standards in teaching and learning.  We wish to appoint teachers who have high expectations for all pupils and can support our pupils to make progress through providing rich and personalised experiences. The successful candidates should have excellent interpersonal and communication skills. As well as the opportunity to make a real difference to children’s lives in an area of high deprivation, we are offering regular time for marking and planning, support from a phase leader and opportunities for career development and progression.

 

We are looking for strong candidates to work in UKS2.  Applications from NQTs are welcome; NQTs will have a named mentor who will support them both in and out of class and they will also have access to the excellent NQT programme run by the local authority.  You will have regular time for marking and planning, support from your phase leader and

Hours: 35 hours per week x 39 weeks per year

We are interested in appointing candidates that might fit any of the following:

 

  • Are you interested in working with children and feel you meet the job specification and can fulfil the job description?

  • Are you currently a teaching assistant in a school and are now looking for promotion?
  • Do you have excellent interpersonal and communication skills?
  • Are you educated to at least GCSE standard, including English and maths (grade A-C) or equivalent?
  • Do you have a command of spoken English that is sufficient to effectively carry out the duties of the role?

 

We might even be able to offer you a route into teaching through the Graduate TA role, as we are now working in partnership with a Schools Direct provider to successfully train support staff, with a degree, to become a teacher.
