School Meals
All our dishes on the menu are prepared and cooked on site each morning using fresh ingredients from our suppliers. We offer a choice of two main dishes, one being a vegetarian option. We also offer a jacket potato each day with a choice of toppings. We have an extensive salad bar for the students to choose from, along with a choice of hot and cold puddings and fresh fruit pots. For the summer months we produce home-made yoghurt with a selection of toppings. Schools meals cost £2.51 daily (£12.55 weekly) and payment should be made in advance using ParentPay. Cash will not be accepted in school except in exceptional circumstances. Cheques are not accepted.
Free School Meals - Years 3, 4, 5 and 6:
Please apply. Schools receive extra funding for each eligible child, which can be used to enhance the opportunities, experiences and support offered within school. Many of you have already completed an application form for free school meals in the past, which has been assessed by the Local Authority to determine whether your child is eligible or not. Children in Years 3, 4, 5 and 6 who are eligible for free school meals will continue having the cost of their school lunch funded, BUT ONLY if their eligibility is up to date. It is essential that you complete an application form again if your circumstances change.
Universal Infant Free School Meals - Years Reception, 1 and 2:
As you are aware, the Government decided that every child in Reception, Year 1 and Year 2 should receive a free school meal; however, you should still apply for free school meals using the UIFSM Application Form. This is because schools receive extra funding for each eligible child, which can be used to enhance the opportunities, experiences and support offered within school.
If your child is in Reception, Year 1 or Year 2, please complete and return a UIFSM Application form to the school (including your National Insurance number). This will be sent to the Local Authority to check eligibility. It is essential that you complete an application form again if your circumstances change.
PLEASE HELP US: if your child is eligible for free school meals, this means extra funding for Starks Field.
Parents are also able to join us to sample a meal and a lunchtime at Starks Field - please just ask at the school office. If you have any questions with regard to free school meals applications, please contact the Pupil Benefits Team on 020 8379 5367 or ask at the School Office.
